How to share photos with AirDrop (iPhone)

JW Automation — both phones must be Apple (iPhone or iPad) and nearby.

  1. On both devices: swipe down from the top-right corner to open Control Center.
  2. Press and hold the box with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Airplane mode icons.
  3. Tap AirDrop, then choose Contacts Only or Everyone for 10 Minutes.
  4. On the phone with the photo: open the Photos app and tap the picture you want to send.
  5. Tap the Share button (square with an arrow pointing up).
  6. Wait a moment. You should see the other person’s name or picture under AirDrop. Tap their name.
  7. On the other phone, tap Accept when asked.
  8. The photo appears in their Photos app.
Not working? Turn Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on for both phones. Keep them within a few feet. If you still do not see a name, try Everyone for 10 Minutes temporarily.
